My WWWThreads Forum / image validation not working / site only works without .htacces

The image validation image is not working if u want to register.

also my site only works without the .htacces file, else it says 'page not found'.
the site is dynamic, i repaired that with the fix on this forum (make the forum dynamic).

how can i solve this problem?

my host is funpic.org

my site is coolen.funpic.org (and then enter the map)

u also can mail me the answer

Hi RuudNL,

Which version are you using?
WWWThreads is Static URL version, it can be found here:
http://www.wwwthreads.com/downloads.html

Please read this post before installation.

If WWWThreads Static URL version does not support with your hosting you can redirect it to as dynamic URL version. How to Redirect: Static URL - TO - Dynamic URL

Don't need to remove .htacces file.

i just download teh latest version from the site (yesterday) and this is all new to me.

I did read that post before installation, i did what they says. I set the CHMOD, but then i go to the site for install and it says: error, page not found (serverfahler).

the error page says: Server error please check or delete your htaccess file.
so i deleted .htaccess and then it works.

after installation without the .htaccess file i changed static-to-dynamic as in that post.

what is the problem and how to solve? other host?

edit: i read at the host forum that it only support .htaccess for password. not for mod_rewrite etc.

Please check “mod_image_validation.php” file is present in your forum directory. If not then upload it.

OR May be your hosting does not support the function for image verification

You can change this option to as “E-Mail Verify registrations”
For doing this login as Administrator > Admin menu > Options > Registration Tab >

Set Image Verify registrations = NO
Set E-Mail Verify registrations = Yes
Then Save

i uploaded and runed the script fine but now when i go to my site this shows up

If you are looking at this (which I guess you are), the install of WWWThreads Forum appears to have worked! Now log in and head over to the administration control panel to configure your forum.

how do i take people to the actual page instead of this one?cnt we delete this?

Hi milu,

Remove index.html file from your forum directory.

Remember take a backup of this file before doing , If it does not work then reupload this file .
