Sorry folks if this isn't the right place to be posting this.... but I need help for my friend and am running out of options. 

I can normally find my way around if there is an issue. However, she called me yesterday and said her password was not working for log in. It was asking her if she forgot it. She didn't. After about an hour of trying to figure out what was going on (I had gone over to her home at this point) I went into safe mode under administrator and changed the password. Restarted. Same thing. I deleted that account and made a new one. Logged off from adminstrator, restarted and went to sign in under the newly made account. I got the same error for the NEW account I had just made. That my password was incorrect. Can changing the name of the computer give this error? She thinks it may have been done recently but not sure. She was using it had to do some housework, and then returned to use it after about 2 hours, and couldn't log on anymore. It has XP on it. No disc available. HELP
